Ski slope
There is a ski slope literally right outside the front of the hotel. Almost 500 metres long and with a height difference of over 100 metres this is a small and super family friendly slope. As such it is ideal for learning to ski or snowboard on or for a couple of hours of ripping up and down with the kids. If skiing is not your thing - then there is a toboggan slope tucked in next to the main slope. Families can base themselves at the picnic area (with open fireplaces) at the bottom of the slope and keep an eye on all the action from here.

Ski hire:
Full Telemark equipment, mountain skis, cross-country equipment, helmets and snow shoes are available to hire. For prices and more info on this equipment go to www.morgedal.com
The hotel also has toboggans guests can borrow.

Ski trails:
Morgedal has a variety of terrain and trails that lead you past traditional farms, lakes and high plateaus. In 2008 we added the Skare trail which is popular with its gentle tracks plus the fact that you can watch your significant other learn to master the mysteries of this healthy sport from the safety of the outdoor hot tub. There is also a 2.7 km flood lit trail allowing night skiing with lights operating every evening from dusk.
